Although the DizzyFIX may be of use in Vestibular Rehabilitation its primary use is in the treatment of BPPV. The DizzyFIX is not recommended for the treatment of other vestibular disorders.
You should always consult a physician first for a diagnosis, as dizziness and vertigo can be caused by a number of conditions, some of which can have serious health implications. However, the most common reason is a condition called benign paroxysmal positional vertigo (BPPV).
How the DizzyFIX Works
The DizzyFIX visually guides patients through the particle repositioning maneuver to achieve successful treatment of BPPV.
It only takes minutes to complete successfully. A clamp attaches the DizzyFIX to the peak of a cap (included with the device). The device consists of a special tube filled with fluid and a bead. The patient guides the bead through the device with head movements and his BPPV is cured. The device enables the patient to repeat the maneuver as often as required. There are no side effects, and the DizzyFIX is completely safe.
BPPV may be a chronic condition and up to 60% of patients will experience relapse in their lifetime. The DizzyFIX enables patients to treat recurrent episodes quickly and effectively.
